The Housing Authority of the City of Douglas has been a pillar to the community since it was implemented in 1950 by the City of Douglas. The mission of the Housing Authority is to be a leader in providing affordable housing to Coffee County and the surrounding counties. This leadership will provide effective management and wise stewardship of public funds and partnership with our residents and others to enhance the quality of life in our community.

Our efforts are enhance by partners with local community organizations, such as the Coffee County Sherriff Department, Boys and Girls Club of Coffee County, Department of Labor, Department of Family and Children Services, City of Douglas Police Department, Coffee County Fire Department, Local Church Organizations, SRJ Architects Service, Magistrate Court of Coffee County, African American Alliance of Coffee County, Wal-Mart Store and Distribution Center and many other local service organizations.
